Inspired by the superior lateral mechanical properties of the reed stem in nature, the microstructure of pores on the transverse and longitudinal interfaces of reed stem is studied for the first time. A new design method for the microscopic characteristics of reed is proposed. Based on the microscopic characteristics, a novel reed-inspired honeycomb with high lateral energy absorption performance is invented. Through simulation and experimental research methods, the lateral energy absorption performance of the reed-inspired honeycomb is studied, and the reason for its high lateral energy absorption performance is discussed. Finally, the potential application of the reed-inspired honeycomb in various fields of collision, explosion and impact is investigated.
受自然界中芦苇茎优异的横向力学性能启发,首次对芦苇茎横纵界面上的孔隙微观结构展开研究,提出了一种针对芦苇微观特征的新型设计方法。基于该微观特征,发明了一种具有高横向吸能性能的新型芦苇仿生蜂窝结构。通过仿真与实验研究方法,对芦苇仿生蜂窝的横向吸能性能进行了分析,并探讨了其具备高横向吸能性能的内在机制。最后,研究了芦苇仿生蜂窝在碰撞、爆炸及冲击等多个领域的潜在应用价值。
