In this study, we identified two m6A methyltransferases in moso bamboo, PheMTA1 and PheMTA2. Both PheMTA1 and PheMTA2 were found to significantly promote root development and enhance salt tolerance in rice. Then, we fused PheMTA1 and PheMTA2 with ADARcdE488Q and introduced them into rice and identified the target RNAs bound by PheMTA1 and PheMTA2

本研究在毛竹中鉴定出两个m⁶A甲基转移酶(m6A methyltransferase),即PheMTA1与PheMTA2。研究发现,PheMTA1与PheMTA2均可显著促进水稻根系发育,并增强其耐盐性。随后,我们将PheMTA1、PheMTA2与ADARcdE488Q进行融合,并将融合产物导入水稻,同时鉴定了PheMTA1与PheMTA2所结合的靶标RNA。
