Mulberry (Morus alba L.) is rich in protein, minerals, bioactive substances, and other nutrients, which can be regarded as a new resource to replace traditional ruminant feeds and alleviate the shortage of traditional protein raw materials. Moreover, it can improve animal health and the quality of products. For example, it can increase the amino acid and fatty acid content in meat, enhancing the nutritional value and market competitiveness of meat products. Mulberry is harvested in the hot and humid rainy season, with the fresh branches and leaves having a moisture content of 80%, the way hay is utilized does not apply to mulberry, silage fermentation is the best method for preparing and storing mulberry forage.
