General Health Social Security members in Colombia in 2023, by region and program

In 2023, approximately 96 percent of Colombia's population was affiliated with the public health care system. In Bogotá, around 76 percent of insured citizens were part of the contributive program, which is mandatory for every person earning at least the minimum wage. In comparison, only eight percent of the affiliated people from Vichada were associated with this health program, while 93 percent had the subsidized scheme.
