The composition of the gut microbiome in patients with sarcopenia

The aim of this study was to predict sarcopenia through analyzing the gut microbiota composition, as the gut microbiota and food intake can influence each other. We collected fecal samples of patients and controls, analyzed the diversity and composition of the gut microbiota by 16S rRNA sequencing, and calculated the relationship between biochemical indexes and the microbiota.

本研究旨在通过分析肠道菌群（gut microbiota）组成预测肌少症（sarcopenia），鉴于肠道菌群与食物摄入可相互影响。我们收集了患者与对照个体的粪便样本，采用16S核糖体RNA测序（16S rRNA sequencing）分析肠道菌群的多样性与组成，并计算了生化指标与肠道菌群之间的关联。
