This dataset is developed by the Yangjiang Research Institute of Guangdong Ocean University, covering data from southern Chinese medicinal herbs planting experiments and associated survival rate records. It quantifies the planting survival rates of two southern Chinese medicinal herb varieties under different soil types, and derives derivative indicators including 'survival rate deviation degree' and 'deviation rate' via data analysis, processing and calculation. This dataset can provide fundamental data support for scientific research in the southern Chinese medicinal herbs planting industry, and assist in optimizing soil selection and irrigation management plans for southern Chinese medicinal herbs cultivation. The derived 'survival rate deviation degree' indicator can intuitively reflect the disparity between actual and expected survival rates, while the 'deviation rate' indicator can quantify the proportional relationship of such disparities. These indicators offer quantitative foundations for in-depth investigations into key influencing factors governing the growth of southern Chinese medicinal herbs, and also provide data references for practical endeavors such as relevant agricultural technology promotion and the construction of southern Chinese medicinal herbs planting bases, advancing the southern Chinese medicinal herbs planting industry toward refined and scientific development.
