Observed and projected reservoir storage and elevation dataset

Observed reservoir storage and elevation data (spanning 1980–2023, depending on the reservoir) were obtained from ResOpsUS, the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and the California Data Exchange Center. Modeled reservoir storage data (1980–2059, across 48 projection sets) were sourced from the 9505 Project outputs of The Third Assessment of Climate Change Impacts on Hydropower under Secure Water Act. The corresponding modeled elevations (1980–2059) were derived using observed storage–elevation lookup tables for each reservoir. Other dataset include shapefiles and metadata used in the research.
