This code and data was used to produce results and figures for the manuscript "Decision-science navigates trade-offs between environmental and socio-economic objectives for marine debris mitigation". The study uses data from Lebreton et al. 2017 on plastic pollution load of rivers and uses the data in a particle tracking model of the Asian Seascape. The code here uses the output files of the tracking model to derive different metrics on environmental and socio-economic objectives, which are then used in a structured decision making framework to understand trade-offs between the different metrics, and prioritise the best site for clean-up interventions.
