Short reads-based characterization of pathotype diversity and drug resistance among E. coli isolated from patients attending regional referral hospitals of Tanzania. Escherichia coli

The aim of this project was to determine the pathotype diversity and antimicrobial resistance among E. coli from patients attending regional referral hospitals in Tanzania. It investigated a subcollection of the bacterial isolates collected at six regional referral hospitals in Tanzania as part of the Fleming Fund SeqAfrica project, a UK Aid funded initiative to strengthen AMR surveillance in Africa.

本研究旨在明确坦桑尼亚区域转诊医院就诊患者来源的大肠杆菌（E. coli）的致病型多样性与抗菌药物耐药性（antimicrobial resistance, AMR）特征。本次研究作为由英国援助（UK Aid）资助的非洲抗菌药物耐药性监测强化项目——弗莱明基金SeqAfrica项目的组成部分，对该项目在坦桑尼亚六家区域转诊医院采集的细菌分离株子集进行了分析。
