Plastic emissions to oceans per year from select rivers worldwide 2019

Every year, approximately 63,000 metric tons of plastic waste is emitted to the ocean from the Pasig river in the Philippines. The Pasig river runs through the capital city Manila, and accounted for an estimated 6.43 percent of global ocean plastics from rivers in 2019. The Philippines is home to some of the largest plastic polluting rivers in the world.
