The SEED dataset was developed by the Institute of Interdisciplinary Information Sciences at Tsinghua University, aiming to optimize the operation of HVAC systems in subway stations. This dataset is collected from multiple stations of the Beijing Subway, providing minute-resolution dynamic environmental data (including temperature, humidity, CO2, etc.), the operating status and energy consumption of HVAC systems, as well as hourly-resolution passenger flow data. The creation of the SEED dataset involves sensor deployment and detailed descriptions of HVAC systems, which are used for environmental control and data collection. The main application scenarios of the SEED dataset focus on optimizing the control strategies of HVAC systems by analyzing environmental characteristics and passenger flow, so as to achieve energy conservation and improve indoor environmental quality.
