The native fish dataset encompasses observations gathered from diverse regions within New South Wales (NSW), Australia. This dataset is characterised by its point-based structure, consisting of records of native fish occurrences obtained through two primary survey methods: environmental DNA (eDNA) surveys and baited remote underwater video surveys (BRUVs).\r\n\r\nEnvironmental DNA surveys involve the collection and analysis of genetic material shed by aquatic organisms into the surrounding water, providing a non-invasive method for detecting the presence of fish species.
