n is the number of finite log(mean)-log(variance) pairs (here, the number of states) in each fitting. Each mean-variance pair is generated using at least 15 county population counts within a state. Model names are defined in S2 Table. "est_slp" and "err_slp" are respectively the slope estimate and slope standard error. "aicc" is the model AICc. (XLSX)
