Bacterial wilt, caused by Ralstonia solanacearum (Rs), often is characterized by a symptomless latent infection (plants test positive for Rs but show no wilt symptoms). It remains unknown whether a latently infected potato plant can recruit a beneficial microbiome from the soil to resist Rs. In this study, we investigated the rhizosphere microbiomes of two potato cultivars with varying resistance to Rs, and three plant statuses: healthy (not inoculated with Rs), latently infected and diseased (infected with Rs).

由青枯劳尔氏菌(Ralstonia solanacearum,简称Rs)引起的青枯病(Bacterial wilt),通常以无症状潜伏侵染为典型特征:即植株Rs检测结果呈阳性,但未显现青枯症状。目前尚不明确受潜伏侵染的马铃薯植株能否从土壤中招募有益微生物组以抵御Rs。本研究针对两个对Rs抗性存在差异的马铃薯栽培品种,以及三种植株状态——健康(未接种Rs)、潜伏侵染与发病(已接种Rs)的根际微生物组展开了研究。
