Hanna Creek Hydrometric (LCKHAN01H)

This dataset contains hydrometric data for Hanna Creek. This site is part of the Columbia Basin Water Monitoring Framework program (CBWMF). The CBWMF is a coordinated monitoring network that tracks how climate change and other impacts are affecting water supply for communities and ecosystems across the Canadian Columbia Basin region. Hanna Creek was chosen for monitoring to reflect the Local Reference Group priority to monitor sources of drinking water. This is one of the supply streams for the City of Rossland. Monitoring at this site also increases the coverage of the "Mid elevation, warm-cool, dry, and predominately forested watersheds" (Group LCK 2B) which the 2023 CBWMD Data Gap Analysis of the Lower Columbia-Kootenay Hydrologic Region identified as underrepresented in the pre-existing monitoring network.
