Tea plant (Camellia sinensis) is an important economic crop. Studying transcriptomes of tea tissues during dedifferentiation and redifferentiation helps improve the transgenetic system of Camellia sinensis and discover the differential expressed genes during tissue culture. Stems and leaves were used as explants in this research. Besides, samples of stem explant, primary callus derived from stem, callus derived from stem, regenerated roots from stem callus, regenerated shoots from stem callus, leaf explant, primary callus derived from leaf, callus derived from leaf, and regenerated roots from leaf callus were all sequenced by Illumina Hiseq platform in this study.
