An exploratory study of HIV positive employees’ perceptions on the prevalence of HIV-related stigma in workplaces of Johannesburg, South Africa.

My research examined how HIV-positive employees perceive stigma within workplace environments in Johannesburg, South Africa. The study explored employees’ lived experiences, highlighting challenges of disclosure, fear of discrimination, and the impact of stigma on well-being and job security. Findings emphasise the need for inclusive workplace policies, awareness interventions, and supportive practices that protect employees’ rights and foster stigma-free work environments.

本研究针对南非约翰内斯堡的人类免疫缺陷病毒（HIV）阳性雇员在职场环境中对污名的感知情况展开调研。本研究探究了雇员们的亲身经历，着重剖析了其披露感染状况时面临的困境、遭受歧视的恐惧，以及污名化对其身心健康与工作稳定性造成的影响。研究结果凸显了制定包容性职场政策、开展认知干预举措以及推行支持性实践的必要性，上述措施可保障雇员的合法权益，并助力营造无污名化的职场环境。
