This article examines the psychological foundations of developing creative abilities in preschool children. The study highlights the role of age-related psychological characteristics, cognitive activity, imagination, emotional responsiveness, and social interaction in the formation of creativity during early childhood. Special attention is given to the influence of the educational environment, play-based learning, artistic activities, speech development, and adult support on children’s creative expression. The article also discusses the importance of motivation, independence, and positive reinforcement in encouraging original thinking and problem-solving skills. Based on psychological and pedagogical approaches, practical recommendations are proposed for educators and parents to create conditions that foster creativity in preschool-aged children. The findings emphasize that the development of creative abilities in preschoolers is a complex process that requires purposeful pedagogical guidance and a psychologically supportive environment.
