Nationwide coverage of HUC12 subwatersheds with intersecting surface water intake facility IDs and associated PWSIDs from the Drinking Water Mapping Application to Protect Source Waters (DWMAPS) tool

Hi Kelly, The attached spreadsheet includes nation-wide coverage of HUC12s with intersecting surface water intake facility IDs and associated PWSIDs. Surface water intakes include intakes, reservoirs, springs, and infiltration galleries, as these are all categorized as surface water intake facilities. You can filter for intakes only, if need be. I’ve included a few additional data fields that may be of interest: HU_12_DS: Downstream HUC12 PCT_HUC_SW_SPA: Percent of HUC 12 in a Source Water Protection Area—source water protection areas were calculated for each intake and represent a watershed area 24 hour TOT upstream of the intake location. Number represents total watershed area covered by a SPA, rather than cumulative area (sum of all SPA areas). PCT_HUC_WHPA: Percent of HUC12 in well head protection area, which were calculated for each well as the area of the intersecting catchment. Count intake: number of intakes per HUC12 Count Well: number of wells per HUC12 HU_10_DS: Downstream HUC10 Please let me know if you have questions about the data or about the process I used to produce or extract these data.
