<i>In vivo</i> infectivity of <i>berghepain-1</i> knockout sporozoites as determined by prepatent period.

C57BL/6 or Swiss Webster mice were inoculated i.v. with the indicated number of sporozoites. Blood smears were examined daily starting on day 3 after sporozoite inoculation and mice were considered negative if parasites were not detected by day 20. For C57BL/6 mice, data from three independent experiments are pooled; two with BP1-KO clone 1 and one with BP1-KO clone 2. For Swiss Webster mice, data from two independent experiments using BP1-KO clone 1 are pooled.将C57BL/6小鼠或瑞士韦伯斯特（Swiss Webster）小鼠经静脉接种不同数量的子孢子。自子孢子接种后第3日起，每日镜检血涂片；若至第20日仍未检出寄生虫，则判定该小鼠为阴性。针对C57BL/6小鼠，合并3次独立实验的数据：其中2次实验使用BP1敲除（BP1-KO）克隆1，1次实验使用BP1敲除克隆2。针对瑞士韦伯斯特小鼠，合并2次使用BP1敲除克隆1的独立实验的数据。
