We propose to study the atomic relaxation dynamics of the Ce-Al MGs during both compression and decompression from ambient pressure through the polyamorphic transition and eventually close-to-crystallization pressure (~25 GPa) at room temperature. These results will provide critical dynamic information for us to understand the transition process and underlying mechanism for the unusual phenomena in Ce-Al MGs and also the relationship between dynamics and structures of glasses in general.
我们拟于室温下研究铈铝金属玻璃(Ce-Al metallic glasses,MGs)从常压经多形转变(polyamorphic transition)直至近结晶压力(~25 GPa)过程中压缩与解压阶段的原子弛豫动力学(atomic relaxation dynamics)。这些结果将为理解铈铝金属玻璃中异常现象的转变过程及内在机制,以及更普遍的玻璃动力学与结构之间的关系,提供关键的动力学信息。
