This dataset documents the differential transcriptomic regulation of sweet orange fruits (Citrus sinensis L. Osbeck) under dehydration and rehydration conditions, with a focus on the molecular responses leading to peel damage. Using custom cDNA microarray analysis, we compared gene expression profiles between severe water stress and rehydration stress triggered by postharvest humidity changes, aiming to reveal the molecular mechanisms associated with non-chilling peel pitting (NCPP).
