Data used for analyses in Cabon et <em>al</em>., Declining tree growth resilience mediates subsequent forest mortality in the US Mountain West, <strong>2023</strong>, Global Change Biology. We provide the raw and detrended ring width (RW and RWI columns of the rw.csv file) data as well as associated forest inventory metadata for each site, including tree level biometrics, forest structure and basal area mortality (metadata.csv). Plots and trees can be linked to the US Forest Inventory and Analysis public database. Climate data can be retrieved from gridded climate product based on fuzzed coordinates. Please find variable definitions in the file Definitions.xlsx.
