# Data Files (1) Earthquake Catalog Filenames:decluster_DL_ML1.20.txtdecluster_NNA_ML1.20.txt Description:decluster_DL_ML1.20.txt: Earthquake catalog of background seismicity in the Longmenshan fault zone, obtained using the spatiotemporal Double Link method.decluster_NNA_ML1.20.txt: Earthquake catalog of background seismicity in the same region, obtained using the Nearest Neighbor Algorithm method. Data Format: | Column | Description ||--------|-------------|| date | Time of the earthquake occurrence || lat | Latitude of the epicenter (°) || lon | Longitude of the epicenter (°) || depth | Hypocentral depth (km) || mag | Magnitude of earthquake | Notes:These earthquake catalogs are derived by applying declustering algorithms to a complete earthquake catalog. The earthquake catalogs are divided according to topography types to compare the differences in seasonal seismicity across different topographies. (2) GNSS Vertical Displacement File Description: Each .txt file is named after the GNSS station and contains the daily time series of the vertical displacement component. Notes:The vertical displacement component is referenced to a fixed datum. Positive values indicate that the surface is above the datum, negative values indicate that the surface is below the datum, and a value of zero indicates that the surface is exactly at the datum. These data are used to estimate crustal vertical deformation caused by hydrological loading variations. (3) Groundwater Table Depth Filenames:51060.txt51151.txt File Description: Each .txt file is named after the groundwater monitoring station and contains the monthly time series of the groundwater table depth. Notes:These groundwater table depth data are used to assist in validating the annual variation patterns of groundwater total storage. (4) Python Code for Data Analysis Filenames:Empirical Mode Decomposition.pyGutenberg Richter Law.pyPermutation Test.pyTopography Classification.py Description: This dataset includes Python scripts used for data analysis in this study. | File | Purpose ||------|---------|| Empirical Mode Decomposition.py | Perform Empirical Mode Decomposition (EMD) on seismicity time series to extract seasonal signals || Gutenberg Richter Law.py | Fit the Gutenberg-Richter magnitude-frequency relationship and evaluate catalog completeness || Permutation Test.py | Conduct permutation tests for assessing the statistical significance of differences in seasonal seismicity || Topography Classification.py | Classify topography types within the study area and delineate different types of topography | # Related Publication This dataset is associated with the article: Topographic controls on the seasonal modulation of seismicity by hydrological loading in the Longmenshan Fault Zone.
