NRS-3885 | Papers relating to the Conference of Directors of Education

The Conference of Directors of Education (alternatively entitled the Standing Committee of the Australian Education Council, after this body's inauguration in 1936) comprised Directors of Education from each state and representatives from the Commonwealth. The Conferences were convened to aid uniformity in educational policies between states, to show each state's progress in education policy and education system, and to provide information on education on a national basis. The series consists mainly of the reports and submissions prepared by each state for the Conference and includes summaries of resolutions, some correspondence and files of information collected for the New South Wales report. 1928, 1934, 1936, 1938, 1942, 1944, 1946-52 (19/8221-26). 6 boxes.
