Epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) is the most plentiful polyphenol in green tea and has antiviral, antioxidant, anti-aging, anti-inflammatory, and neuroprotective effects . Studies have shown that EGCG can inhibit a diversity of biological processes of tumor progression, including cell proliferation, invasion, metastasis, and angiogenesis, and can also induce apoptosis and cell cycle arrest. In order to investigate the role of EGCG in multiple myeloma (MM), we carried out this study. We found that EGCG could inhibit myeloma cell activity and promote myeloma cell apoptosis. To further explore the mechanism of EGCG promoting apoptosis in myeloma cells, cells were treated with EGCG and subjected to RNA sequencing. 表没食子儿茶素-3-没食子酸酯(Epigallocatechin-3-gallate, EGCG)是绿茶中含量最为丰富的多酚类物质,具有抗病毒、抗氧化、抗衰老、抗炎及神经保护等多种生物学活性。研究证实,EGCG可抑制肿瘤进展的多种生物学过程,包括细胞增殖、侵袭、转移与血管生成,同时还可诱导细胞凋亡及细胞周期阻滞。为探究EGCG在多发性骨髓瘤(multiple myeloma, MM)中的作用,本研究开展了相关实验。结果显示,EGCG能够抑制骨髓瘤细胞活性并促进其凋亡。为进一步探索EGCG诱导骨髓瘤细胞凋亡的分子机制,我们先用细胞进行EGCG处理并开展RNA测序(RNA sequencing);随后以MM.1S细胞为研究对象,经EGCG处理后再次进行RNA测序。
