A select group of 30 tetraploid biofortified clones from cycle I will be evaluated using a farmer participatory variety selection (PVS) in the highland of Apurimac during the campaign 2018-2019; yield components, micronutrients content (Fe Zn) and post-harvest traits will be determinated, with the main purpose to improve the food security and nutrition of families in situation of vulnerability through the identification of 3-5 potential new biofortified potatoes varieties with 25% of micronutrient concentration (Fe) above the local varieties

本研究将选取第一周期的30个经生物强化(biofortified)的四倍体(tetraploid)无性系,于2018-2019年度在阿普里马克高原开展农户参与式品种选择(Farmer Participatory Variety Selection, PVS)评价,并测定其产量构成要素、微量营养素含量(铁Fe、锌Zn)及采后性状。本研究的核心目标为:筛选出3-5个铁元素微量营养素浓度较当地品种高出25%的潜在新型生物强化马铃薯品种,以此改善脆弱处境家庭的粮食安全与营养状况。
