The protective effect of Shuxin Shengmai Dan on myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury in rats

The traditional Chinese medicine Shuxin Shengmai Dan (SXSMD) is clinically used to treat angina pectoris. The mechanism of protective effects of SXSMD on the heart still remains poorly understood, although inhibition of inflammation by it was implicated. The role of SXSMD in rats with myocardial ischemia-reperfusion (IR) and the mechanism of SXSMD action were studied in this research.

中药舒心生脉散（Shuxin Shengmai Dan, SXSMD）临床主要用于治疗心绞痛（angina pectoris）。尽管已有研究提示其可通过抑制炎症反应发挥保护作用，但该药物对心脏的保护作用机制仍未得到充分阐明。本研究针对舒心生脉散在心肌缺血再灌注（myocardial ischemia-reperfusion, IR）模型大鼠中的作用及其作用机制展开了相关研究。
