Zoom (VOI-04) at 6.51um of the heart of donor S-20-29, scanned at ESRF on beamline BM18 using the HiP-CT imaging technique. Hierarchical Phase-Contrast Tomography (HiP-CT) is an X-ray technique that decouples field of view and resolution to image anywhere in the human body with cellular (micron) resolution. Imaging areas can be full organs at a resolution of 25 micron or zoomed regions in these organs with resolutions between 6 and 0.6 micron, one hundred times the resolution of medical CT.

供体S-20-29心脏样本中,6.51μm分辨率下的缩放型感兴趣体积(Volume of Interest, VOI)-04,于欧洲同步辐射装置(European Synchrotron Radiation Facility, ESRF)的BM18光束线,采用分层相衬层析成像(Hierarchical Phase-Contrast Tomography, HiP-CT)技术完成扫描。分层相衬层析成像(HiP-CT)是一种可实现视场与分辨率解耦的X射线成像技术,能够以细胞级(微米级)分辨率对人体任意部位成像。该技术的成像区域既可为25μm分辨率下的完整器官,也可为这些器官内的缩放区域,分辨率可达6μm至0.6μm,其分辨率为医用CT的100倍。
