雲嘉海岸受自然環境條件以及人為設施等交錯複因素影響,造成沙源短缺及輸沙型態改變,致使雲嘉海岸沙洲產生嚴重侵退現象,沿岸系列沙洲高程日漸降低並向陸側後退,不僅產生國土流失問題,更連帶影響產業現況、環境生態、災防等問題。本機關基於海岸國土變遷及近岸水文水理之科學研究,配合行政院「防止外傘頂洲沙灘流失整體防護計畫」,辦理外傘頂洲海域基礎資料調查監測、漂沙組成 溯源研究 與海岸變遷分析技術建置等,透過數值模式建立、模擬與現場實測結果比對分析,以期有效推測雲嘉海岸環境變化。
The Yunlin-Chiayi (Yun-Chia) coastal area is impacted by intertwined and complex factors including natural environmental conditions and anthropogenic infrastructure, resulting in sand source shortages and altered sediment transport patterns. Consequently, severe erosion and retreat have emerged on the sandbars along the Yun-Chia coast, with the elevations of the series of coastal sandbars gradually decreasing and retreating landward. This not only causes national land loss, but also adversely affects local industrial operations, environmental ecology, disaster prevention and other associated issues. Based on scientific research on coastal land dynamics and nearshore hydrology and hydrodynamics, and in alignment with the Executive Yuan's "Overall Protection Plan for Preventing Beach Erosion at Waishueidingzhou", the competent authority has carried out basic data surveys and monitoring in the waters off Waishueidingzhou, source tracking research on sediment drift composition, and the development of coastal change analysis technologies. Through the establishment of numerical models, simulation studies, and comparative analysis with in-situ measurement results, the authority aims to effectively predict environmental changes in the Yun-Chia coastal area.
