This project contains the raw unprocessed active and passive surface wave and horizontal to vertical spectral ratio (HVSR) data collected in 25 sites located throughout Mexico City, Mexico. Surface wave and HVSR data were recorded at all the sites. In this project, each testing site folder contains the unprocessed surface wave data and the metadata file. The active surface wave data was recorded at each site using a linear array of 24, 4.5 Hz geophones with 2 m receiver spacing. Vertical geophones were used to record Rayleigh waves. A 2 m source offset was used for P-wave refraction, whereas multiple source offsets of 5, 10, 20, and 30 m were used for the multichannel analysis surface wave (MASW) data. The passive microtremor array measurements (MAM) data were recorded using circular and L-shaped arrays. The circular array MAM measurements utilized six three-component Trillium Compact, 20-second broadband seismometers. In each circular array arrangement, five seismometers were uniformly distributed on the circumference, while the sixth seismometer was placed on the center. Circular array diameters ranged from 50 m to 200 m. The L-array MAM measurements were carried out using 24, 4.5 Hz vertical geophones. An equal receiver spacing of 5 m was used. L-array dimensions ranged from 55 m x 60 m to 35 m x 80 m. The data was used to develop shear wave velocity profiles at each site. The details of the recorded data are provided in the metadata files for each site. This data was collected as part of the NSF funded project award #1822482 and title “RAPID/Collaborative Research: Dynamic Site Characterization Following Mw 7.1 Puebla Earthquake for Development of a Refined 3D Shallow Crust Velocity Model of the Mexico City Basin”.
