Fibrosis is the pathophysiological hallmark of progressive chronic kidney disease (CKD). The kidney is a highly metabolically active organ, and disruption in its metabolism could lead to renal fibrosis and disease progression. We developed a longitudinal mouse model of acute kidney injury leading to chronic kidney disease and an in vitro model of epithelial to mesenchymal transition and generated transcriptomics on kidney tissue and tubular cells at different time points.
