Encouragement character strength among Chinese Adolescents

The final sample consisted of only those who answered the validity check questions correctly. The responses of 499 participants (200 high school students and 299 middle school students) were retained. The students’ age ranged from 12 to 18 (Mage = 14.57, SD = 1.62), and over half of the students were female (54.11%, N = 270). Very few students’ parents had completed higher education (16.03%, N = 80).

最终纳入有效分析的样本仅为正确作答效度检验题的受访者。本研究最终保留了499名参与者的有效应答数据，其中包括200名高中生与299名初中生。受访学生的年龄分布在12至18岁之间，平均年龄（Mage）为14.57，标准差（SD）为1.62；女性占比超过半数，达54.11%（有效样本量N=270）。仅有极少数学生的父母接受过高等教育，该群体占比仅为16.03%（有效样本量N=80）。
