Sea ice diatom concentrations from the Belcher islands archipelago, Hudson Bay, Canada

Diatom concentrations (valves/ml) from the bottom 5 cm of modern sea ice samples from the Belcher Islands Archipelago, south-eastern Hudson Bay, Canada between April and May 2019 using a Kovacs Mark II core barrel with an internal diameter of 9 cm. Diatom quantification was done using a light microscope (Zeiss Axio Imager.A2 upright research microscope, University of Helsinki) with phase contrast optics at a x1000 magnification.

2019年4月至5月期间，于加拿大哈德逊湾东南部贝尔彻群岛（Belcher Islands Archipelago）采集现代海冰样本，取其底部5厘米部分测定硅藻（Diatom）浓度（单位：valves/ml）；样本采集使用内径为9厘米的Kovacs Mark II岩心筒（core barrel）。硅藻定量分析借助赫尔辛基大学的蔡司Axio Imager.A2正置研究型显微镜（Zeiss Axio Imager.A2 upright research microscope）完成，该显微镜配备相差光学系统（phase contrast optics），观测放大率为1000倍。
