Since Pseudomonas strains are one of the most commonly recorded crude oil strains in the world, a thorough analysis of their degradation and absorption of crude oil is very important. Several reports have emphasized the importance and suitability of crude oil microorganisms for biodegradation in various ecologically polluted sites. This is to investigate the entire genome of Pseudomonas sp., with a focus on its ability to degrade crude oil on the Saudi Red Sea coast near the Yanbu industrial area. The strain S5 isolated from a crude oil polluted site in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia, is a powerful hydrocarbon degrader. The main goal of this research is to examine the entire genome of a potent Pseudomonas sp. isolated from the Yanbu region. Emphasis will be placed on understanding genetic and environmental factors associated with crude oil degradation, general adaptation, and uptake in crude oil-contaminated environments

假单胞菌属(Pseudomonas)菌株是全球范围内最常被报道的原油降解菌株之一,因此对其降解与摄取原油的能力开展系统分析具有重要意义。已有多项研究强调了原油降解微生物在各类受污染生态环境中进行生物降解的重要性与适用性。本研究旨在解析假单胞菌属未定种(Pseudomonas sp.)的全基因组,重点探究其在沙特阿拉伯红海沿岸延布(Yanbu)工业区附近区域降解原油的能力。从沙特阿拉伯延布某原油污染场地中分离得到的S5菌株,是一株高效烃类降解菌。本研究的核心目标为对一株从延布地区分离得到的高效假单胞菌属菌株的全基因组进行解析,并重点阐释与原油降解、通用适应性以及在原油污染环境中摄取相关的遗传与环境因素。
