ABSTRACT: The present evaluated the effects of copper sulfate solution (CSS) and arginine powder (Arg) supplements on performance, thyroid hormones and blood biochemistry of broiler chickens fed with canola meal (CM)-based diets. The experimental design was completely randomized with a 3 × 3 factorial and 9 treatments, corresponding to 3 levels of CSS (0, 125 and 250 mg/kg) and 3 levels of Arg (0, 0.1 and 0.2%) (n = 45 per treatment). Feeds were offered ad libitum for 21 days, from 22 to 42 days of age. Feed efficiency was significantly affected by the dietary addition of 250 mg/kg CSS and 0.2% Arg, and by the CSS × Arg interaction. CM supplemented with CSS improved the thyroid gland status and increased the plasma levels of triiodothyronine and thyroxine. Birds fed diets supplemented with 0.2% Arg had lower blood glucose level than the other treatments. The addition of 250 mg/kg CSS and 0.2% Arg reduced the stress caused by the rapid growth of broilers, also increasing the overall bird welfare.

摘要:本研究评估了硫酸铜溶液(copper sulfate solution, CSS)与精氨酸粉(arginine powder, Arg)两种添加剂对饲喂菜籽粕(canola meal, CM)基础日粮肉鸡的生长性能、甲状腺激素及血液生化指标的影响。实验采用完全随机3×3析因设计,共设置9个处理组,分别对应3个硫酸铜溶液添加水平(0、125、250 mg/kg)与3个精氨酸粉添加水平(0、0.1%、0.2%),每个处理组重复数为45。试验周期为肉鸡22至42日龄,全程自由采食,共计21天。研究结果显示,饲料转化率显著受250 mg/kg硫酸铜溶液、0.2%精氨酸粉添加以及二者交互作用的影响。在菜籽粕基础日粮中添加硫酸铜溶液可改善肉鸡甲状腺机能,并提升血浆三碘甲状腺原氨酸(triiodothyronine)与甲状腺素(thyroxine)水平。饲喂添加0.2%精氨酸粉日粮的肉鸡,其血糖水平显著低于其余处理组。此外,添加250 mg/kg硫酸铜溶液与0.2%精氨酸粉可缓解肉鸡快速生长引发的应激反应,同时提升肉鸡整体福利水平。
