Images from a Watching Brief at Langarth, Truro, September 2022 to January 2023

This collection comprises images from a watching brief at Langarth, Truro. This work was undertaken by Cornwall Archaeological Unit September 2022 to January 2023. The watching brief of hedge breaks involved the recording of sections and elevations, creation of photographic record and an archive report. Recording of 31 hedge breaks in Cornish hedges took place. These are historic field boundaries the majority of which are recorded on the c1840s Kenwyn Tithe map and are at least early 19th century in date, probably with most fossilising medieval field boundary lines. Records were made for archive and to inform any reconstruction to be carried out.

本数据集收录了英国特鲁罗市兰加斯区域考古现场监护项目的相关影像资料。该项目由康沃尔考古项目部（Cornwall Archaeological Unit）于2022年9月至2023年1月期间实施。本次针对树篱缺口的考古监护工作涵盖剖面与立面测绘、影像资料建档及归档报告编制三项内容，累计完成31处康沃尔式树篱缺口的测绘记录。此类树篱均为历史遗留的田间边界，其中绝大多数已载入约19世纪40年代的肯温教区什一税地图（Kenwyn Tithe map），其年代至少可追溯至19世纪早期，且大概率保留了中世纪田间边界的走向。本次测绘记录均已完成归档，同时可为后续开展的树篱修复工作提供参考依据。
