This qualitative study expands on the sociological concept of interaction within the workspace in order to understand the connection between college graduates' first job and personal satisfaction. Data for this study was obtained from in-depth interviews conducted on eight recent graduates of Colgate University. Questions posed were related to pre- and post-graduation career aspirations, job description, and current work place culture. Question topics included workplace culture, mentorship, career trajectory, personal growth and happiness, and whether income or monetary reward had an influence on overall emotional satisfaction.
本质性研究对工作场所互动这一社会学概念进行拓展,以期探究大学毕业生首份工作与个人职业满意度之间的关联。本研究的数据来源于对8名科尔盖特大学(Colgate University)应届毕业生开展的深度访谈,访谈问题涉及毕业前后的职业抱负、工作内容描述以及当前职场文化,访谈议题涵盖职场文化、导师辅导、职业发展路径、个人成长与幸福感,以及收入或物质报酬是否对整体情绪满意度存在影响。
