VPRS 8802 Policies and Precedents Books (Buildings Branch)

This series was apparently created for the purpose of consistency in decision making.The Policies and Precedents Books contain copies of extracts from letters which relate to policies and precedents followed with regard to various building related issues. The subjects covered include policy with regard to blackout blinds, burglar alarms, use of electric fans, fire hoses for schools, advertising signs in school grounds etc..In some cases references to special case files (located in VPRS 892) and capital expenditure works files (located in VPRS 8796) are made.The series date range has been imputed from contents in custody date range ie 1943-1971.
