Urban greenspace function

We examined differences in eight soil ecosystem services, and their average value, and 23 separate attributes at 56 greenspace-natural paired sites, and sought to explore the major factors associated with the differences between greenspaces and adjacent natural areas. Such a study gives us the opportunity to assess the value of greenspaces as functional soil islands within a matrix of urban development and provides valuable insights into the extent to which management actions might be required to maintain their ability to provide services at a level similar to natural systems from which they were derived

本研究针对56组绿地-自然对照样地，分析了8项土壤生态系统服务、其平均值以及23项独立属性的差异，并旨在探究造成绿地与邻近自然区域间差异的核心影响因素。此类研究可为评估城市开发基质中作为功能性土壤岛的绿地价值提供契机，同时也可为明确维持绿地生态服务能力所需的管理措施提供宝贵见解，使其服务水平能够达到其原生自然系统的标准。
