These data were collected in southern Benin (West Africa) to demonstrate how crop diversity within an agricultural landscape and the use of biopesticides might influence arthropod food webs and the natural control of tomato pests. These findings highlight that conserving plant biodiversity alongside integrating agroecological pest management practices and botanical extract application, foster the stability and sustainability of tomato-based cropping systems. By leveraging on the differential efficacy of aqueous and oil-based formulation, we propose a phased application strategy as a promising framework for adaptable, effective, and sustainable botanical pest management across diverse pressure scenarios.

本数据集采集自西非贝宁南部,旨在探究农业景观内的作物多样性与生物农药(biopesticides)施用,如何对节肢动物食物网(arthropod food webs)以及番茄害虫的自然防控效果产生影响。研究结果表明,在番茄种植体系中,保护植物生物多样性并整合农业生态害虫防控措施与植物提取物(botanical extract)施用,可增强该系统的稳定性与可持续性。本研究依托水基与油基制剂(aqueous and oil-based formulation)的差异化防控功效,提出分阶段施用策略,可为不同压力场景下适配性强、高效且可持续的植物源害虫防控提供极具前景的实施框架。
