The European Economic Area Power Network Benchmark (EEA-ENB) is a multi-area power system model developed by the Systems and Control Center of Delft University of Technology, aiming to facilitate the application of distributed control technologies. This dataset comprises 26 interacting power regions, utilizing real-world data sourced from the ENTSO-E Transparency Platform. The EEA-ENB places special emphasis on Distributed Model Predictive Control (DMPC), and provides centralized MPC strategies for performance and computational time comparison. Application scenarios of this dataset include economic optimization of power networks, research on network expansion strategies, security and privacy feature testing, and emergency scenario simulation, among others.
