Social communication in V. vulgaris: datasets on preference and recruitment

The file Social communication in Vespula vulgaris: datasets on preference and recruitment contains the raw data used in the study titled "Foraging in the Invasive Common Wasp: Evidence of Social Communication?". These data include results from experiments testing V. vulgaris preference for visual and olfactory cues in contexts with and without food, as well as data from recruitment and communication assays at a protein bait under three experimental conditions: (1) when communication at the resorce and at the nest were allowed, (2) when communication at the nest was allowed, and (3) when communication was inhibited.

The data are organized into three sheets within the Excel file: (1) Preference with food, (2) Preference without food, and (3) Recruitment and communication.
