Dataset of endogenized phage genes in Acinetobacter baumannii ATCC 19606

This work presents the set of endogenized phage genes in <i>Acinetobacter baumannii</i> ATCC 19606. Original data for the dataset was derived from annotated genome file of the microbe downloaded from GenBank, which was parsed and searched by an in-house MATLAB genome analysis software. The dataset comprises gene name, gene function, and gene sequence of each endogenized phage gene in the microbe. Overall, the data should serve as useful starter for initiating understanding of why particular phage genes remain endogenized in the host genome, and deciphering how evolutionary forces and host transposase has reshaped endogenized phage genes.

本研究公开了鲍曼不动杆菌(Acinetobacter baumannii) ATCC 19606中的内源化噬菌体基因(endogenized phage genes)集合。本数据集的原始数据来源于从GenBank下载的该菌株的注释基因组文件，通过自研MATLAB基因组分析软件对该文件进行解析与检索后得到。本数据集涵盖该菌株中每一条内源化噬菌体基因的基因名称、基因功能及基因序列信息。总体而言，该数据集可为探究特定噬菌体基因何以能在内源化宿主基因组中留存，以及解析进化压力与宿主转座酶(transposase)如何重塑内源化噬菌体基因提供极具价值的研究基础。
