This dataset focuses on the No.1 Glacier at the Headwaters of the Urumqi River, Tianshan Mountains. It includes balance years and mass balance data, with 6 records in total. The stake observation method was employed. At the end of each year's glacier ablation period, the exposed height of stakes at different positions was measured using a tape measure. Combined with snow pit profiles, the glacier ablation and accumulation amounts were calculated to derive the net mass balance for each balance year, with the unit being millimeters water equivalent (mm w.e.).
