This dataset focuses on the prey selection of Tasmanicosa leuckartii, a wolf spider species in Bt cotton fields, and contains the results of laboratory experiments and nutritional analyses. Through three-way and four-way food web experiments, we explored the effects of alternative prey (such as crickets and other wolf spiders) on the predation of Helicoverpa armigera (cotton bollworm) by this wolf spider. Meanwhile, we analyzed the relationships between the nutritional components (protein and lipid) of prey and their encounter rates and vulnerability, providing data support for pest biological control in Bt cotton fields.
