Faecal bacterial communities and microbial fibrolytic activity according to the age of the horses

The aim of this study was to compare the faecal bacterial communities of horses of different ages (6 to 30 years) living in the same environment and eating the same diet, using high-throughput sequencing of the 16S rRNA gene.
