This invention relates to a raw material pretreatment method for extracting cinnamon oil from cinnamon branches and leaves. This pretreatment performs solid-state fermentation on raw materials using yeast or decomposing agents, and falls within the technical field of biological extraction. This invention can be combined with steam distillation or other essential oil extraction methods, which not only improves the extraction yield of cinnamon oil, but also ensures that the chemical components and composition of the cinnamon oil obtained via this method have no significant difference from those of cinnamon oil directly extracted from the same raw materials without the pretreatment.
