Gnotobiotic Studies of Novel Immunostimulatory Allobaculum sp. 128

Using animal models of inflammatory bowel disease, we have characterized the immunostimulatory properties of novel commensal bacteria isolates belonging to genus Allobaculum. We demonstrate combinatorial interactions in vivo between Allobaculum sp. 128 and other commensal gut microbes that are relevant to human health and disease, dictating both mucosal and systemic immune outcomes.

本研究以炎症性肠病（inflammatory bowel disease）动物模型为实验载体，对隶属于别样杆菌属（Allobaculum）的新型共生细菌分离株的免疫刺激特性开展了系统性表征。本研究证实，别样杆菌属菌株128（Allobaculum sp. 128）与其他肠道共生微生物之间存在体内组合相互作用，这类相互作用与人类健康及疾病进程密切相关，可同时调控黏膜免疫与全身免疫结局。
