The genus Triplophysa is one of the predominant fish groups on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau (QTP). With the intensification of human impacts, the resources of Triplophysa yaopeizhii, which mainly distributed in the upper reaches of Jinsha River, have gradually decreased. Our study utilized PacBio HiFi, Ultra-long ONT, and Hi-C sequencing to construct the telomere-to-telomere (T2T) gapless genome assembly of Triplophysa yaopeizhii. This is the first T2T genome assembly of the genus Triplophysa. The high-quality genome serves as an essential reference for elucidating the adaptive genetic mechanisms of plateau fish to the unique high-altitude.
高原鳅属(Triplophysa)是青藏高原(Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, QTP)的优势鱼类类群之一。随着人类活动影响的加剧,主要分布于金沙江上游流域的姚氏高原鳅(Triplophysa yaopeizhii)种群资源已逐渐衰退。本研究采用PacBio HiFi、Ultra-long ONT及Hi-C测序技术,完成了姚氏高原鳅的端粒到端粒(telomere-to-telomere, T2T)无间隙基因组组装。这是高原鳅属首个T2T无间隙基因组组装成果。该高质量基因组可为阐释高原鱼类适应独特高海拔环境的遗传适应性机制提供重要参考依据。
